​​​Geoff Leavenworth is a writer and a communications specialist. He has managed communications for one of the world's leading brands, reported for some of America's most respected media, and written four books:

• Brand Under Fire on crisis management in the digital era, written with lead author Jeff Hunt
• The much praised Historic Galveston, a study of the architecture of the island
• The novel, Isle of Misfortune
• Flak Bait, a memoir written with James P. Simpson

He has written more than 500 articles that have appeared in The New York Times, Time, Texas Monthly, and many other publications. He also led the development of some of the largest and most influential digital platforms in higher education.
